Scope of Work
OMC worked in conjuction with Hydromet Pty Ltd (Hydromet) and Murray Hill Metallurgical Consultant to produce a Scoping Study for the Marenica Uranium Project.
Flowsheet
Two process options were examined in the Marenica Uranium Scoping Study. The first of these was a heap leach option comprising crushing, screening and partial scrubbing of the ore, belt filtration to dewater slurries, gglomeration, heap leach, resin ion exchange and finally a classical alkali based refinery. The second option incorporated a similar crushing circuit followed by a beneficiation circuit and a concentrate tank leach circuit. The balance of the circuit was similar to the first option.
Outcome
The Marenica Uranium Project scoping study was delivered in Q3 2011.
